Hi! I’m Melissa, maestro of harmonizing logistics and party-thrower extraordinaire. I’m also a big fan of my fiancé, pottery making, the ocean, 80’s rock, Oregon wine tasting, and my puppy dog, Chief.
I was raised in McMinnville, OR by my wonderful mom and dad alongside a too-cute-for-her-own-good little sister. My passion for events and entertaining has been something that was evident ever since I was a child, my grandma always said I had a flair for the dramatics. My knack for event coordination became obvious throughout high school and college years, from organizing the prom group to coordinating a college wide bar crawl. From non-profit and corporate events to weddings, I have had the privilege to dabble in a wide variety of event preparation. My favorite part of the planning process is when all the pieces come together in one fluid timeline. I pay specific attention to the event logistics, timeliness and event flow. That way, when the day of the event comes all you have to do is show up, look pretty and have a good time.
Bonus: I have been a bridesmaid - alot. And, I have recently been a bride (8.18.18). It has been so much fun being involved with all my friends weddings. I am honored that I get to continue being a part of weddings, just without the matching dress.
Brittany can be described in one word - fun. She has been an unofficial part of GEM since day one - helping shape our company and brand, while building on her own wedding planning experience. She is organized, insightful and a self proclaimed details person.

She has a degree in Biology (minors in Chemistry, Business) from Linfield College and a MBA from Portland State University. Why did a smart girl like her get into wedding planning you ask?
“I love weddings - everything single thing about them, I love love! And I love planning and organizing, it makes me happy.”
When not using her degree or planning weddings, she enjoys playing golf, wine tasting in the PNW and romantic date nights.
